There is a chapter, but it's pretty much just a yahoo group. I did get a list of really good resources for local food.
The group around here is relatively new and doesn't do much but share information so far. About a year or so ago i went to a meeting that was held at a member's home and we shared some organic food/recipes (that was my first taste of raw milk - delicious) and watched a movie about abuse in the meat packing industry. Since then, it's just been emails with interesting information and, like I said, people offering to share SCOBY's and kefir grains. He has also forwarded information when cow shares came available (in Virginia, that's how we get around the legal nightmare surrounding raw milk). You might consider getting on their mailing list if you are interested in things like that - sometimes you can find people who want to split shares in a local CSA or a cow share if they are single or don't have a large family. It's a good way to meet like-minded people (in regard to health and nutrition, that is).
