Saw this today--first time I've heard about it!

Also...looking at the comments, I was glad to see at least one or two Catholics who were defending the Church against the attacks (many seemed to be from ignorance of actual Church teaching) of the commenters.
This is so cool!! And yeah, I'm not surprised—we grow good folk here in Kansas.  ;D
There is no doubt in my mind that the Servant of God Emil Kapaun will be canonised! He was at the very least an heroic Confessor of the Faith and most probably a Martyr. I was privileged to attend Mass in his home Parish and to meet many people who had known him, including the Pastor under whom he served after his Ordination.
Cool!

Never heard of this priest, but will read up on him....

Thanks for posting this website!  The story is presented a bit differently than on his cause for his cannonization website.  He sounds like an amazing man of God!  Can you imagine the number of souls he lead to Christ?
I know a man in Olathe who prays publicly every day for this man's canonization.  Says Kaupan's story changed his life.

Kansas, represent!
Here's another link from the US Army Chaplain's Corps:

There is a U.S. military base in Kaiserslautern, Germany which used to be called Kapaun Barracks, but is now called Kapaun Air Station. Does any one know if it's named after Father Kapaun?
