According to Father Tm of IrishCentral it is.

I however beg to differ and truly believe that it can bring our world closer together for the greater good.
Not a Satan, but a data mining scheme.
I can def see that.

Im especially careful with ss and cc info.
Anything can be used for good or evil. Facebook is not evil. Evil can be done through it but that evil comes from man not a networking site.

Personally I love Facebook. I talk to alot of friends through it and appreciate that it's free and I'm not on the phone. I hate talking on the phone! And it cost money. It's also good to get quick small bits of info to people without bothering them. It's the "post it note" of the digital age!

I'm getting quite tired of people trying to find scapegoats for the world's evils instead of recognizing that it's still just Original Sin and always will be. It's like they're too insecure and want to think by avoiding such things they're doing "good" in the world.

"See! I threw out my T.V. Now Satan can't get me. I'm better than you now!"

Shame. FB is not distributistisic (or whatever).

For people who do actively use facebook, is it worth it or is it a waste of time?

SIn-Original or any other- is still evil.........if looking at pron is evil, and it is, and facebook permits ir or peddles it, there is evil to degreees (whether is allowing or pushing it openly).......got a porno group invite there last night, deleted it, but could easily ahve led to occasion or sin.........though technology is neither evil nor innocent in itself most of the time (exceptions as always)

As as it is not "distributistic or whatever"? Please try to make some sense beforing dismissing an economic theory and good Catholics that promote-and have-promoted it......I could feel and hear the "who gives a crap" sarcasm and attitude......if you do not support something, no need to get nasty...I think capitalism is secular heathenistic and largely blwon up by Prots, but no need to get nasty........

but, in a sense, it is distributist in that there is little control by hudge/gudge, though the CIA link to it neeeds more investigations.....it is oepn, free and decentralized for the most part.......so yeah, it is more distributist in the vein then say CNN, Fox,etc......many Distributists are on there, inc John Medialle and Richard Aleman......

stinky fishie for you (as that seems to be really important, though childish)
It's the debil.

No, see my post above.

For some it can be a waste, as they spend their time Facebook Stalking" peoples' profiles.  I get great use out of it.
