Agreed. Throw in the RE Congress and its been quite a bummer of a week.

Eliminating CITH on Holy Thursday would be fitting I think.

Oh man, which curtain will it be? Or should we go for what's inside the box?

Two items:
(1) Congratulations for making your first post that doesn't involve homosexuality.
(2) They're not Prada.  http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment...218136.ece
Even if the Pope eliminated Communion in the hand...it wouldn't matter...the Bishops and Priests in the USA were disobedient before, they will still be disobedient. We have a priest in our diocese who was rumored to say "Why would I want to go back to mumbling to the wall" when asked if he would say a TLM.

I don't want to derail this or even seem as if I'm agreeing with that priest, but you've got to be able to see where he's coming from. Maybe he's never had any good solid teaching as to why TLM is the way it is. I think the priesthood needs to be catechised as much as the laity. How often have you heard a layman say essentially the same thing? What is needed is formation and understanding. I don't think the church will benefit from cramming the TLM down anyone's throat. What needs to happen is lots of training and formation, then if they still resist, just laicize them ;)

There is a tradition in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles that their new archbishop is announced the Monday before Easter at their Chrism Mass. Next Monday is the monday before Easter, so it’s time to perk our ears up.

Also, if the announcement does not come before Easter, directly after Easter would have a high probability as well.

Back in February I wrote that I think the most likely candidate to take over this archdiocese is Bishop Thomas Olmsted of Phoenix. Time will tell, and prayers until then.

Talking about the Pope's slippers and underwear is queer if you ask me..
For those following the thread about Duke Puntalangit, you may be interested in his most recent post on his blog which appeared today (coincidence?)  In it he says:

"Pope Benedict XVI will reveal the part which is the Dogma of Faith and will leave to his successor the other half which concerns the struggle between “Last Pope” and the “True Antichrist”."

http://dukepuntalangit.wordpress.com/201...of-fatima/

I have to say, however, the Pope announcing the true third secret seems to me to be the least likely thing to occur this Easter.
