An uninformed observer would think that the Pilgrimage in Chartres was a Rock music event. I am saying this because of the incredible number of young people. It's amazing how many people attended.
Chartres is on my "bucket list," as is Rome, Santiago de Compostela, Canterbury, and Jerusalem.

Are there any pictures you can post?

Links correction:

These are photos from the 'official' pilgrimage:

This page has photos of the 'other' pilgrimage (sspx):

Is the holy blissful martyr even buried at Canterbury still?
I looked at the pictures and I am appalled. There were people hiking in short pants! Nary a tie to be seen on any of the young men. And people sitting on the ground in a most undignified manner!

Someone had to beat Tradition in Action to it.  Crazy
Why not, as a sign of unity, do they not combine the two pilgrimages? Alternate the direction every year? I guess they both have built up their own traditions that it will be hard to change but it is disappointing to see.
Thanks for the photos Smile

You know, I'm not sure.  I'd heard that Henry VIII had him dug up and tried fro treason, but I'm not sure what happened afterwards.
