I'm expecting 4 horsemen to ride by at any moment now.
They're probably planning on rounding them up when they seize power after Berlusconi prepares the way for them.

Red Cliff is one of my favourites movies ever, man.
In Hungarian the name of tha cassock is 'Reverenda', from the word reverend' with the meaning, that the person who wears it should be revered.

For centuries the cassock meant that reverence toward the clerics, and for this reason the canon law forbade to wear it for laity.

In the fifties (in Hungary) somewhat later here the media started to incite hatred against the clerics and their cassocks. Interestingly the reaction over there was that the clerics kept the habit, because people felt hatred against the communist media. It was told, that the cassock defends the clerics from sexual sins, because it takes a long time to open a dozen of so buttons.  Some people spit on priest in cassock, but they wear it with pride.

When I came here in the early eighties almost no clerics were seen in cassock, people here accepted the media as the source of the truth. Interestingly the result of this is, that one feels that those who still keep the habit deserve reverence. I always feel that nuns in habit and e.g. the St John Cantius fathers in cassock are set aside for God.
