Now, let's see if he follows this up the way he did vis-a-vis Summorum Pontificum/UE:

Meh.  It will fall on (tone?) deaf ears.

The OCP stranglehold will choke out sacred music with its Today's Missal Music Issue.
This will have as much impact as Pope Paul VI's 1974 "Jubilate Deo" chant booklet.

Yup.

Marty Haugen isn't going anywhere at your local cathedral or suburban parish.

:(

Why can't he just stick to his Lutheran liturgies?

ROFL.  I tried to tell my Novus Ordo pastor that Pope Paul VI wanted Latin and Chant retained.  He laughed me off and said the official books only need to be in Latin, everything else can be in whatever we want.

Effing joke.  Once the Pope starts taking action to help out his "agenda" is when I'll start believing he has the balls to get stuff done.
Benedict has really confused me with regards to music during his pontificate. He wrote so much about sacred music before his papacy. yet during his papacy has failed miserably to do anything real about the state of horrible music in the roman church.
