That's not necessarily a good thing. Massachusetts has basically the largest % of Catholics, and it was the first state to legalise the devil's matrimony. >sad The fact that the N.E. is overwhelmingly Catholic is a huge warning sign, given its utter immorality.
Has anyone wondered about that? Why the most liberal states are the most Catholic? Is this due to lapsed Catholics?

Well at lot of them are Catholics Baptised as Children and confirmed but then left soon as they left home. As the RCC keeps counting you on there rolls after that unless you make a formal act of defection.

The Republican Party was historically anti-immigration and Catholics tended to come from immigrant families. Plus, many Catholics tended to be working class and found the Democratic Party to be more appealing than the country club atmosphere of the Republican Party.

So traditionally Catholics have sided with the Democrats. However, the only state with a Catholic majority, Pennsylvania, has produced some pretty conservative leaders.

Because the devil is hardest at work where he knows people have more of a chance to get to heaven.
Very interesting map, although I'm not sure what to take from it.  Remembering that the majority of "catholics" are CINO, the map means next to nothing.

It would be interesting to get a map like this with topography on trad catholics.  Or even practicing Catholics.  For every person who said they were catholic they would also have to say if they're for or against sodomy, infanticide, birth control and pre-marital sex.  That way we weed out the cino crowd.
