Friends,

As we prepare to celebrate that event around which all of history revolves - namely, the Incarnation - I offer you this golden reflection:

My wife and I are both very big on gratitude. I never let an tip or an e-mail go unthanked. I always say thank you to businesspeople who tip me off about opportunities. Over the years it has paid big dividends. Being grateful is one of those rare virtues that has no downside. There is no pleasure or reward in ingratitude. Not as far as I can tell.
