When is the feast of Saint Nuno Alvares Pereira?  I've seen it listed as November 6 and as April 1.  Which is it?  Thanks.

Thanks for asking this. St Nun'Alvares was a Carmelite Friar when he died and has been honoured by the Order since his beatification. I was not aware until now that he had been canonised.

Saint Nuno's Feast Day is celebrated on April 1 except in Portugal where it is celebrated on November 6. A petition has been submitted to change the date universally to November 6.
Thanks.  That is what it says on Wikipedia, but the source cited on Wikipedia (http://www.vatican.va/news_services/litu...no_en.html) does not contain that information and it is at odds with other sources, such as the following:

Confusing, yes, but both sources say that the November date has been extended to the Universal Church. And yet every Carmelite Calendar I can find online, O.Carm. or OCD, has him listed on 1 April.
