I ws reading about St. John of the Cross, and apparantly during an exorcism the demon said "Look, here comes little Seneca to torment us again."  Now I know who Seneca was, one of my favorite philosophers actually, and quite popular in early Christianity, but why would St. John be called Seneca?  Is there a Seneca I don't know about?
well, he is a doctor of the Church now.  Maybe that's what the demon was foretelling or perhaps he was just mocking Holy Father John because he was so well read and good.
