CP,

Good writeup.  By putting someone in that is on the conservative side, it still gives the idea that the poison of VII and the New Mass is okay when handle carefully.  What you wrote is in part of what I said to friends when New Hampshire got their new bishop last year.  Keep praying.

Bishop Cordileone needs to make them an offer they cannot refuse.
Before Archbishop Cordileone cleans up St. Patrick's Seminary in his new Archdiocese he will have to go over the head of a Cardinal and two Archbishops. Cardinal Levada, Archbishop Niedbauer and Archbishop Quinn all intend to live at the seminary.

That's pretty twisted.

It is an improvement.  Possibly a big improvement.  It doesn't solve the crisis, but is a step in the right direction.  It will in all probability provide more TLMs to Catholics who are in serious need of more TLMs.

No it won't.  It will expose more Catholics to Tradition, which will increase the numbers opposed to the NO.  My Dad used to suspect I was a schismatic or something.  We'd argue about it.  I finally convinced him to go to the TLM a few times.  Today he openly ridicules the NO.  The TLM is what is needed, up to a point, and then you need the Fatima consecration.
I second James, the TLM does the most good. The more exposure to the TLM, the more we will return.

If anybody has contacts with the FSSP or the ICK can they tell them when Archbishop Cordileone takes over the Archdiocese of San Francisco he has a huge unused piece of property on the water in Marin County which has a beautiful old church. It used to be the St. Vincent's Home for Orphaned Boys (This was before Vatican 2 , they now abort those boys these days) It is a great place for the FSSP or the ICK to get as a seminary, Archbishop Cordileone is a friend of both they should ask him to establish themselves there. (The property is worth tens and tens of millions located in expensive Marin County)

Kind of reminds me of Lenin. "The worse, the better."
Conservatives pose more difficulties because they muddle what "traditional" Catholicism is all about with a veneer of being conservative.
I hope the new Bishop lives up to his name.

Conservatives don't know a thing about Tradition.  Most have only heard about the SSPX in passing, if at all.  Most also know nothing about Vat II and probably haven't read one word of it.  So a bishop can muddle them all he wants, they are already muddled.

However, have an "official" TLM available is extremely effective.  Once a conservative goes to one, chances are he'll keep going.  And he'll tell others.  If he does that for a few months, the scales fall from his eyes.  If he ventures back to the NO, he'll feel sick to his stomach.  Then he'll talk to his FSSP priest and find out more about the revolution.  He'll start reading the Remnant which Father keeps in the back of the Church.  Eventually he may even make it to Fisheaters.  Increasing the TLM is always a good thing.  And this bishop evidently ORDAINED AN FSSP PRIEST.  That's all I need to know.
