Yet another neo-conservative group promoting that which Gregory XVI called an "insanity."

"We won't have social justice unless we defend religious freedom. Catholics for Romney/Ryan."

Makes me want to puke.
You understand that you are arguing against your own interest.

It doesn't matter. Error has no rights.
Throughout the history of Holy Mother Church, many have risked and given their lives for their freedom to profess the only true religion, the Catholic Religion, not for the enlightenment principle of religious liberty. I don't know why this is so hard to understand, given that, only in 1953, Pope Pius XII said "That which does not correspond to truth or to the norm of morality has objectively no right to exist, to be spread or to be activated." Again and again and again the pro-religious liberty folks make the pre-Conciliar popes (and those who don't pick and choose over their teaching) as being against Catholic liberty.  This could not be further from the truth.

We support CATHOLIC liberty.  So did Popes Gregory, Pius XII, etc.  The issue here is extending the rights that we have as members of Christ's Church to heretics and unbelievers.

Is your reward in Heaven or upon earth?
Right now as it stands, if Obama wins most of the Catholic institutions will have two choices;
A) close
B) Lose their status as a Catholic institution.

So be it.
*sigh* it was a happier time when heretics were burning at the stake rather than enduring impious men and women defending their ability to publicly profane Christ and His Bride.
