I have now listened to the first two parts (while disassembling my bike), and Gerry Matatics is willfully misleading if not outright lying. He speaks of the "approved apparitions of La Salette", and the quotes the part about Rome becoming the Seat of the Antichrist that was added later, never approved an put on the index.

He claims that Cardinal Ratzinger in the book "God and the World" says outright that Jews do not have to accept Jesus. I have the original German version, and looked at the relevant parts. After discussions about the Old Testament, in which Cardinal Ratzinger says that the Old Testament stays only a fragment without the New, and that the Old can only be understood correctly when "read with Jesus" the interviwer asks him directly:
Does that mean that the Jews must or should accept the Messiah?
Cardinal Ratzinger answers:
That is what we believe. That does not mean we have to coerce them to accept Jesus, but that we should be patient as God is.[...] But it stays our Christian conviction that Christ is also the Messiah of Israel.

You cannot be more clear than that. And it is exactly the opposite of what Matatics claims Cardinal Ratzinger is saying in this book.

Please, pardon me. I was trying to type yesterday's date. (1.4.13)
Thank you for the correction.
Thank you Spencer!  I remember hearing about this a few months back and was hoping some audio would surface.  Thanks again!
For some reason I read "Knuckletown", and I thought, this is going to be good. I'll listen in later while doing yard work. I used to love Matatics stuff, so I am ready to be disappointed. Oh, how far the great fall.
Do you have permission to post these recordings?  The moderator and Fr. Robinson make it clear that publicizing any recording is forbidden without permission.
