I was a little uneasy about this when I first read it but have thought about it. His ‘pontificate’ has come to and end, as a pontificate does when a Pope dies. When a Pope dies they are still referred to as Pope So-And-So not ‘Cardinal So-And-So’. Thats how I see it…I think…

B16 goes into retirement.  After brief spell at C.gandolfo he goes back to Rome to retire.  New Pope who is elected is an out and out Freemason.  Makes changes that are absolutely outrageous and literally places the Church at the feet of the new world order.  Half of the Catholic world rejoices and half is shocked and stunned.  Even some of the people on Catholic answers are thinking, how can this be?

Women priests, gay marriage all up for discussion.  Condoms and contraception allowed by fiat. The world rejoices and the new Pope is heralded as a great reformer.

B16 is retired and no longer the Pope.  But this action of the new Pope is too much for him.  He strongly objects and "does a Lefebvre" and spearheads a sort of Schism with his comments.  Now his neo catholic supporters, and us Trads, actually find themselves in EXACTLY the same position as Lefebvre's supporters years ago with the truth on their side but no solid legal or canonical basis on which to usurp or challenge newPope's authority.  The only difference is that this challenge would be taken seriously and covered by the world's media.  And the Pope worshipping types who follow character or celebrity over truth will naturally find that they can sort of do both and neither in a weird way.

In the little spare time they have, Trads get to laugh that they have simple repeated the difficult choices we made 40 years ago.  It dawns on the crossovers that this is the case and they eat a couple of plates of crow and two slices of humble pie.

Naturally the world media will mostly be on the side of the new world order Pope, but a sh** fight between two current Popes is just too hot to ignore so they will milk it for all it is worth.

Some of the bishops, the queers and the ultra modernists plus the stupid ones, side with Pope Jason I and others with B16 the exPope who has no more authority other than his appeal to the truth and the fact he used to be Pope.

Freemasons realise this schism can spoil their final solution so they start a war and a Bishop in White is killed fleeing Rome, (which is where b16 is retired)

Whatdayathink?

It's completely wild but to be honest also completely plausible. I've always thought that things could get worse and truth be told I can't imagine a worse scenario than what you describe. It would literally pretty much fully discredit the Catholic Church as the True Church in the hearts of many, even more than the last 50 years of novelty. This would make both the Orthodox and the sedevacantists even firmer in their positions and might actually be the straw that broke the camels back for many on the fence about whether to stick it out as a Catholic in good standing with their local ordinaries or go either SSPX, Sede or Orthodox or maybe even leave Christianity altogether. In my take should something like what you describe happen the ONLY way to restore any kind of credibility to the Church would be the Second Coming.
I'm surprised no one has posted this.

A Bishop Dressed in White?
by Robert J. Siscoe | http://www.remnantnewspaper.com/Archives...-white.htm

In the portion of the Third Secret revealed by the Vatican in the year 2000, there is a vision of the Holy Father passing “through a big city half in ruins”, who is then “killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, men and women Religious, and various lay people of different ranks and positions”.  Earlier in the same vision, Sister Lucy also reports seeing one she identified as “a Bishop dressed in white”.  <. . .>

But the question that has puzzled many is why Sister Lucy used the term “Bishop dressed in white” in the first part of the vision, rather than the name “Holy Father”, who she later identified as being killed?  Does this vision refer to two different men: one who is the Pope and another who is only dressed like a pope?  Prophecies are usually unclear until they unfold, but recent events may shed a new light on this curious phrase used by Sister Lucy.

<. . .> On March 1st, not only will Benedict XVI be a former pope who has retained his papal name, but he will also be “a Bishop dressed in white”.  Is the future “His Holiness Benedict XVI, Bishop Emeritus of Rome”, the bishop dressed in white that Sister Lucy was referring to?  If so, is it he who is killed by the group of soldiers, as shown in the Vision?  Or is the Vision perhaps referring to a future pope – the one Sister Lucy calls “the Holy Father” – who is reigning while Benedict XVI is still alive?

It is interesting to note that Pope St. Pius X had two visions that were similar to the Fatima Vision of Sister Lucy.  In 1909, during an audience with members of the Franciscan Order, St. Pius X had a vision of a future pope fleeing Rome.  He said:

"What I have seen is terrifying!  Will I be the one, or will it be a successor? What is certain is that the Pope will leave Rome and, in leaving the Vatican, he will have to pass over the dead bodies of his priests!"

Just before he died Pope St. Pius X had another similar vision, in which he saw a future pope of the same name fleeing over the bodies of his brethren, before being killed himself.

"I have seen one of my successors, of the same name who was fleeing over the bodies of his brethren. He will take refuge in some hiding place; but after a brief respite, he will die a cruel death”.

In light of this vision, it will be very interesting if the next pope takes the name Pius XIII - “the same name” as Pius X.  Time will tell how the events play out, but what appears certain is that we are progressing rapidly to the events foretold at Fatima.  May we renew our courage and zeal for the Faith, always remembering the words of Our Lady of Fatima: In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph.

The living are supposed to envy the dead at some point in the future.  That sounds pretty sh!tty.

That is interesting that His Holiness Benedict XVI, Bishop Emeritus of Rome will be 90 years old on Easter Sunday 2017.

In one of the Fatima Conference videos that someone posted last week John Salza was saying, in comparison to the King of France being beheaded during the French Revolution for not Consecrating France to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in time within the 100 years, he thinks the 100 year deadline for the Pope and all the bishops to Consecrate Russia to Mary's Immaculate Heart will be up in 2017.

Seeing everyone else is speculating I may give my speculation also.  But I'm going to listen to the second audio file by Professor Carl Straub about the prophecies of La Salette and Fatima first.

Slam dunk me thinks. Cheeky.

There is another plausible scenario...  Fast conclave (St. Bosco) takes place. A no nonsense Italian with a battle axe who will roam the Curia.  After 3 months, the enemies
strike. First, Jesuits and later the incognito sisters. Cardinals plot against him in collusion with the modernists. He is forced out whereby they have a anti-Pope waiting in
the wings. Thus he is forced into another country (Emmerich ?) probably Monaco.  It explains - 2 Bishops in white (one in Rome) and one forced out of the country. Both
are martyred (prophecy).  During the chaos the Holy Father consecrates Russia. Russia betrays the Muslims and they are driven out of Europe. (prophecy)
lol - still working on it.

fatima.org, Fr. Gruner will have a broadcast beginning at 9:15am on the 28th on ChCh (?) from Hamilton, On...what is ChCh channel?
This would all make a fascinating Malachi Martin novel.  Pity he's not around to write it.
I am confused. According to an AP article B16 is "...settling on Your Holiness Benedict XVI" and either "emeritus pope" or "emeritus Roman pontiff."
Lombardi said he didn't know why Benedict had decided to drop his other main title: bishop of Rome."

The Remnant piece says: "...following his resignation, the former Pope will be referred to as His Holiness Benedict XVI, Bishop Emeritus of Rome."

So which is it? Is he going to drop the Bishop title and keep pope, or is he going to refer to himself as bishop? Maybe it doesn't really matter, but I was just wondering about the different reports....
