I am very happy about this! For at least Pope Francis is aware of the existence, and thus need for, an EF association. As a major fan of Benedict XVI I admit I was worried about Francis undoing Summorum but I can rest assured now. I do rue the loss of Papal liturgical splendour but I understand Francis' aim.
I might be myopic, but I think as Pope Francis sees up close and personal just how deep this abyss of problems is he'll come to understand the necessity of the TLM as theĀ  Mass.

At the very least, Pope Francis should ensure that the Novus Ordo Missae he celebrates is based upon what Ratzinger said a decade ago:

This would guarantee that - at least at his level - the Novus Ordo Missae doesn't degenerate.
