I like the old one better....the new one is beautiful, but everything around it is so bare.

I agree, though it could be a temporary backdrop to something else more elaborate for the future.

I do hope those murals have been moved or copied to elsewhere in the Church. Also, I would have went with an all stone altar instead of wood, but I imagine the parish isn't probably the wealthiest as it is predominately Latino.
