Today is the ninth anniversary of Benedict XVI's election as Pope. A few days afterwards he spoke what today might sound as prophetic:

It seems that he already perceived that his Pontificate would be a continuous Calvary.
What a wonderful day that was. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was on my college campus and two students were talking about how quick the selection had been made, and that a German pope had been elected. I was so excited. I couldn't get back to my dorm room fast enough to check the news. He was the pope I had been hoping for and praying for. It was one of the happiest days of my life. The icing on that cake for me was that it was also the second anniversary of my baptism.
This is the tenth anniversary of Benedict XVI's election- not the ninth. He was elected April 19th of 2005.  That article is dated 2015, so someone counted wrong.
