I am going to have a little bit more time on my hands in the near future, and I would like to catch up on my reading (it has been pitiful to date...)

I am really interested in reading more about the history of Europe during late antiquity and the middle ages, as well as Church history?  Anyone have any good recommendations?

Thank you as always!

I just finished Charles of Europe (Charles V) by Windam Lewis. Very good read. It deals with his troubles with the pope, the King of France, and there's a good section on Luther.

You can never go wrong with Christopher Dawson or Hilaire Belloc.
