The Archbishop of Philadelphia hits the nail on the head, noting that the media categorize biblical teaching on morality as being bigoted and antiquated hate speech.

This is in follow up to the recent "Nashville Statement", a manifesto released by leading evangelical Christians and scholars,  which contained an unapologetic rejection of notions such as gender fluidity and the normalization of same sex relations.

He speaks of the methodical effort on the part of the media to recast biblical truth as hate, and to silence those who uphold Christian teaching.

Quote:The message is simple,” Chaput added. “Conform to the new herd dogmas or enjoy the consequences. Which explains the river of public contempt that was quickly poured out on the Nashville Statement.”

He adds...

Quote:“Sooner or later, nature defeats ideology,” he writes. “It doesn’t matter how strong or widely shared or persuasive a bad system of ideas might seem to be. It will always lose.”

The downside to this, he adds, “is that foolish and perverse thinking can take a long time to die. And it can ruin countless lives and poison whole societies in the process.
