From the Lifesite News article I just tweeted, about how Pope Francis halted an investigation into abuse charges leveled against British Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor, one of the St. Gallen's Mafia cardinals that got him elected:

Quote:Tosatti had previously revealed what he learned in September 2013 from a high-ranking Vatican source – “an extremely good source, who was then in the government of the Curia,” and he adds that his source has “learned [it] from those directly concerned.” – that Cardinal Müller, then Prefect of the CDF, was interrupted by the Pope while saying Mass at the Church of Santa Monica (next to the CDF building) for a small group of German students. But now Tosatti reveals that the reason for the interruption was to demand that an investigation into Cardinal O’Connor be halted.

As Tosatti puts it in an article for First Things last year: His secretary joined him at the altar: “The pope wants to speak to you.” “Did you tell him I am celebrating Mass?” asked Müller. “Yes,” said the secretary, “but he says he does not mind—he wants to talk to you all the same.” The cardinal went to the sacristy. The pope, in a very bad mood, gave him some orders and [sic -- "and" should be replaced with "about"] a dossier concerning one of his friends, a cardinal.

This event took place in June of 2013, not long after Pope Francis had been elected Pope.

No respect for victims of abuse, and no respect for the Mass.
He disrespects the whole faith!!!!!!
I have to agree that being a "Traditional" Catholic is now dangerous. Everyday I see articles by Bishops condemning Traditional Catholics  as almost heretical to the Faith. I was in a recent discussion on a chat program with another Catholic  and some Anticatholic Protestants. The subject of the Eucharist was raised with the age old "canibalism" argument. I asked the Catholic if he believed in the Eucharist and The Real Presence. He  supposedly has advanced degrees . He kept saying The Eucharist only means thanksgiving and is our Liturgy. I ask again if The Blessed Sacrament was Jesus. He never answered really. He always returned to saying it was the Liturgy!! He then said I was ignorant and ignored. If you say anything that upholds Catholic teaching you are perceived as being too rigid or against the Pope. When will we wake up to the fact there is an agenda imbedded deep in our church.
Traditional, modern, Vatican I or Vatican II,  westernism, socialism, " traditionalsim "Doesn't matter,  This is the problem with a Monarchy, you can't have your cake and eat it too in a Monarchy, the political structure of the Vatican has to be changed and become something better, because if the fools who put Pope Francis into power, and put into power the previous popes who allowed the corruption and abuse to happen long before Francis was ever in power are still the ones who get to elect who sits in the papacy, and get to do so in complete secrecy ; nothing will ever change.

So there ya go,this is a take it or leave it Church. If the pope wants to stop a mass so everyone can have a smoke break,  evidently he can,  if the mass is supposed to be stopped for no one under any conditions, then who really is to blame, the Pope, or the  priest who stopped the mass.  Or perhaps there are no rules on tagging out in the middle of a mass. Either way it doesnt matter. Because, yup,, it is a monarchy .  No one cares what you think. Not really, because if they did, all these problems would have been fixed well before John Paul the second.

All one can be grateful for, is that it isn't their neck that is on the chopping block. and worry about other important things instead of running around like a chicken with its' head cut off.

And 'the people' elected Obama. Democracy's no better. But the office of the Pope was established by God, so you'll have to take it up with Him.

The problem isn't that Pope Francis has too much power. The problem is that he - and three of the four Popes before him - refuse to use that power for good. He'll be judged by God on how good of a pope he was, and if he fails, the punishment's a whole lot worse than any prison sentence.

You want the laity judging the pope? We wouldn't have one anymore, ever since Paul VI took away their free sex.
