I abstain from meat every Friday, but since we're suppose to be feasting all week in celebration of Easter, is it still appropriate?

In the Byzantine tradition, fasting and abstinence are forbidden during Bright week (Easter octave).  I imagine in the Latin tradition, they are at least not required.
Thanks.  Good info.  Had me some bacon with dinner.
Oh, well, I came across this a bit late.  :D
I realized this today when I went to get lunch after Mass. My confessor said that typically we don't do penance during the Easter octave, and it finally clicked for me when I walked into Subway.
Oh good! I feel better now. Don't ask why.... Aren't I lucky? Every day with Jesus is a new beginning.
