Where I am the Church seems to have no problem saying all Christians are good to go.  To me, as a newbie this shows a lack of belief in Catholic teachings.

This seems to translate into zero evangelization - as with this perspective, what's the point?  Am I on track here?

On another forum I was called an "alarmist" for similar thoughts.
It has a lot to do with this modernist idea that there are multiple paths to God, rather than just the one through the Catholic Church. People in the Church have set aside the idea of extra ecclesian nulla salus and have been embracing the idea that salvation can be found outside of the Church, which just isn't true.
