1.There are some things I just can't tell a priest, i,e, I look at porn which leads me to commit other sins I'm too embarrassed to mention to anyone.
 2. I confess my sins directly to Jesus.    Spoken like a true Protestant !
 3. Do you honestly believe the priest in that confessional never commits sins ?  I've actually heard that on more than one occasion, and when you consider the implications it rules out ever confessing to any priest.
 4. I don't want to confess to the priest at my parish because I don't want him to know about me.  The very same people though, will never go to another parish.
 5. A priest I had for confession once was so mean, I've never gone back.
All bad reasons. I find it helpful when the priest struggles with the sins I struggle with. I had a former marine as a confessor when I was Anglican. He had a sailor's mouth like I did.

I can't go to confession any more because sacramental regulations prohibit it. The Eastern rite never separated the sacraments of baptism and chrismation.
-It doesn't look like there's going to be enough time to go to confession, might as well take communion and wait til next week.

This is one that the Devil likes to throw at me when I leave early for Mass on days I intend to go to confession.

I actually enjoy going to confession, regardless of the sin, it's such a relief to have my soul unburdened and purified.
- I don't think I've committed any mortal sins since my last confession, and my venial sins will be washed away with the Eucharist. So no need going.
However, the Sacrament of Penance gives grace! I go every week, whether I have committed a mortal sin or not. If I haven't, I confess my venial sins. It's how I've managed to get to a point (for the first time in my life!) that I can go weeks without committing a mortal sin.

As Fr Z says, 'GO TO CONFESSION!'

Ironically I was just at his blog before stopping by here.

I do have a habit of going to a different parish for confession. I guess it makes it seem more faceless and less intimidating.
