If someone was looking to build a trad Catholic library, which books do you think are the most essential? Top 10? Top 25? Top 50? I've googled around and found some good lists but I'm curious what the people here think.
Douay-Rheims Bible
The Great Commentary of Cornelius a Lapide
Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma (Ott)
The Secret of the Rosary (de Montfort)
True Devotion to Mary (de Montfort)
Theology of the Body - St Pope John Paul II

You think three by Francis are essential to a trad Cat's library? That's a spicy take.
I'm glad you liked it Bryan...I was literally in tears, coughing and gagging in hysterical laughter building this absurd list.

As I was on Amazon for Let Us Dream just looking I saw Laudato Si and Fratelli Tutti..."Oh I can't leave that out" I said crying with laughter.

Man my sides really hurt. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time.

It's hard to know when people are being sincere and when they're trolling, especially when, like me, you've only been in this world for a few months.

But I'm glad I made you day LOL

Like, I can see someone sincerely recommending those books in the sense of, "This is what the enemy thinks and you should be familiar with it."

I have reported this anticatholic hate speech to the administrators and will pray for you.
But seriously any Catholic library should have

Two good Bibles (Douai-Rheims and: New American Bible [with footnotes torn out], RSV-CE, ESV-CE --- I have heard good things about this)
A good Bible commentary such as Haydock or Lapide. (There is also the Navarre Study Bible which I heard is good and Aquinas's Catena Aurea which contains writings and homilies of many Church Fathers on the Gospels)
A good Catechism (Catechism of Trent, Baltimore, Catholic Catechism, CCC 2nd Ed)
Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma by Ott, or Denzinger (I prefer Denzinger)
A devotional Book
A Church history book
