So my wife and I have been discussing Christmas and what we want as a gift to the family. I have decided that I want a family bible. While we all pray together and attend mass regularly I have the vision of in our front room we have a beautiful large family bible on display that before or after having the family rosary we can read from the bible as a family. Our oldest is reading better and I'd like to have read from this bible also in a family setting.

I'm having a hard time finding one online of what I'm looking for, hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I want heirloom quality, price not important.

Quote:This Bible has been professionally rebacked and restored. New endpapers, headbands, and the hinges have been strengthened and reinforced. Strong and sturdy binding made to last. The original spine has been laid down. Gilt on rear cover has faded (see photos). Light rubbing to edges of covers. Very light staining here and there, but overall the pages are crisp, clean, and bright. Many plates and engravings.

A great Catholic family Bible that can be cherished for years to come.
This website has a good variety of folio bibles

I would recommend the Haydock Bible.
You can purchase the Haydock Bible here:  https://angeluspress.org/products/haydock

Our Landlord gave us a good news Bible, I burned it. I maintain Catholics are morally bound to destroy protestant bibles that come into their possesion. Anyway, to the original poster:https://clearcreekmonks.org/gift-shop/douay-rheims-clementina-vulgata-side-by-side/
It's protestant? A priest gave me it. A Catholic Priest.

It's blessed.
The Good News bible is multi-denominational. I got it for service at a Catholic school by a Catholic priest. It's blessed.

I also got a St. Benedicts crucifix necklace, also blessed.

I'm going to visit my parish and confirm b cause it's different then the school.
It does not say translation . Or Amplified.
