Union and Confederate both Americans - JamesMiller - 04-21-2010

The Union soldiers went by the name GAR and held annual reunions.  In 1949 there were so few still alive that they voted it their last reunion.
The US government issued a stamp in their honor. It was blue.
The Confederate veterns held annual reunions too.  They voted that May 1951 would be the last as so few remained.  On May 5 1951 the US government issued but grey in color.

Grand Army of the Republic right?  And the south was the Confederacy of Independant Systems.  Oh wait, I always get the civil war mixed up with the clone wars.
