SSPX Boarding School Closed by the German State - Augstine Baker - 04-26-2010

A left run reform school is afforded all the management errors and conceiveable abuses without consequences; but it's something different with the Society of St. Pius X.

[Kreuz, Saarbrücken] The boarding school of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X's  Realschule [a kind of non-preparatory highschool and junior high] 'Herz Jesu' in Saarbrücken will be closed. This was reported by the regional paper 'Saarbrückener Zeitung' today.

Recently the Social Ministry withdrew an operating permit issued in September 2007 to the administration of the School, the School Association of Don Bosco.

Moreover, the Society had two unnamed residence facilities associated with the boarding school closed within two weeks.

The Realschule has no official comment on the closing.

Actually, the faithful students come from great distances and need to find lodging near the school.

Edit: St. Peter's to Pius X in first sentence

He offers several links on his blog such as:

I don't speak German so I can't say it's reputable, but he does offer a citation.

They have a reputation for being very repressive of homeschooling there too.  This sort of thing is disturbing in itself and even moreso because that seems to be the direction that all Western countries are taking.

I didn't see that, but it probably says FSSPX.

The German original says "Das Internat der Priesterbruderschaft Sankt Pius X. der Realschule ‘Herz Jesu’ in Saarbrücken wird geschlossen."  Most English speakers can recognize that "Sankt Pius X" means Saint Pius X.  But the English translation posted in the blog says "The boarding school of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter's Realschule 'Herz Jesu' in Saarbrücken will be closed."  It seems to be a translation error.  I expect the German version is correct and it is an SSPX school.

You're correct.

The school has not been closed. It's merely the boarding premises, the living quarters, that are affected because some bureaucratic regulations were broken.

The German word in the title is Internat which means "boarding school".    The ruling will make it difficult, if impossible for the school to accomodate those students from far away since they are losing their license to  have dormitories, so it may be that the school itself will be closed down.  There was mention that host families will take up the slack.  The article mentions that two of their group houses were closed down earlier.
