I doubt any person on this forum would object to the censorship. Good on Malta. Hope the country continue to hold out against the continent. Let's see if, in the name of 'tolerance', Malta's decision will be tolerated and respected.

Dang it, Melita, you're awesome, and your country is awesome.

How many times do I have to tell you that I want to live there in Malta?  Even the judges have a moral sense about them!  (er...wait.  do you disagree with their ruling?)

I'm askin' you again, are there any radiography jobs over there?  My wife and I are still interested in getting out of this place!

Are there any blogs or forums among the Maltese that I can join?

Hello there. I have no idea about radiography jobs, sorry, and don't really follow local forums or blogs, however the "comments" section from the Times of Malta website is quite lively.

I posted the above just because it is curious, and suggests a kind of Catholicism that doesn't particularly exist, on a national level, elsewhere in the EU.

All I can say, Melita, is "God bless, Malta!"

It gladens my heart to see countries such as your own still largely faithful to the Church. I respect censorship and I think it is often necessary to protect the common good of society.

Indeed. God bless Malta. The influence of St. Paul on that island is still going strong.

Are people honestly surprised?

It's Malta! Also, why would the EU, a supposedly "economic" union, have laws or regulations regarding such things that are the matters of individual nations?

How dare you apply logic and thought to a growing bureaucracy that wants to control its member-states.

Also, the only reason the EU exists is to prevent a France-Germany war.

The EU hasn't been an economic union alone for a long time now. The bases were laid at the treaty of Maastricht back in 1992.
