That reminds me of Saint Pio's statement regarding Vatican II: "For pity sake, end the Council quickly."

I agree Pax. Its funny but you never hear the Neo Catholics mention that little tid bit about St Pio.

I would imagine it's for the same reason why they shun Pope Saint Pius X, Pope Saint Pius V, and all the other traditional Popes for Pope John Paul "the Great" (how I cringe when I hear that): they want to plug their ears and go "la la la I can't heaaaar youuuuu" when Tradition and Truth are mentioned.

That reminds me of Saint Pio's statement regarding Vatican II: "For pity sake, end the Council quickly."

Yeah but things were being messed with by then in 1968 when he died the Mass that was in use in most parishes didnt include the prayers at the foot of the altar the last gospel was gone the protestant communion table was in place and the Priest faced the people. Even Padre Pio's last Mass was said at a communion pic nick table facing the people.

It stuns me how [neo]Catholics are rallying for JPII's canonization while Pope Pius XII is still a Venerable.

Well all Pius XII did was to be one of the saintliest Popes we have ever had and a true Catholic who wrote against many of the churches modern practices and saved thousands of jews. But JPII was a rock star who taught universal salvation and had clowns perform for him at the vatican its obvious who should be the saint. ::)
