Tertullian said that the first reaction to truth is hatred.  Is that what you're thinking of?

The 2nd reaction to Truth is for Fisheaters posters to try to make a loophole around it like Baptism of Desire to undermine EENS.

(And to address that ... I'm pretty sure it wasn't fishies who came up with the idea of baptism of desire but rather, um, the Church.)

I remember hearing that St. Thomas Aquinas made this statement. Any other ideas?
