This article about our TLM at St. Paul’s in Philadelphia appeared in the city’s big newspaper- the Philadelphia Inquirer last Sunday.
My 8 year old just starting serving as boat boy at Mass and you can just see his head peeking up in the background of the first photo.

The most striking part of the article is this quote.

His son apparently agrees. "I like helping the priest," Joshua says. "It makes me feel special, and I love being up close at the altar."

Vocation, anyone? Faith, anyone?

Does the church celebrate only the TLM?

God is great! Thanks for posting this article, I really needed to read something uplifting this morning. Five souls returning to the Church after assisting at the traditional Mass; it warms my heart.

Not yet.  But we can pray that in the next few years enough people will be clamoring for the old mass and the younger priests will continue to learn to offer it.  Right now, however, the TLM is in a delicate position in Philadelphia.  It's catching on but very slowly because the former Cardinal Archbishop did a lot of behind the scenes work to undermine it's growth.  Archbishop Chaput does not seem to be a fan of the TLM but he also doesn't seem to be an enemy of it.  Hopefully, he won't continue the "gag order" that the Cardinal had enforced.  (Namely that the priests in the Novus Ordo liturgies were forbidden to  promote or encourage the TLM.  The excuse was that people would have to ask for it without the influence of the priests. A new take on "organic development" I suppose. )

I do have a personal suspicion that some in the archdiocese are preparing for an implosion of the Novus Ordo and a real schism.  So, a fostering of traditional Churches is beginning to take place.
