Just got an LG Droid-Any free app recommendations for a Traditionalist? - St. Pius of Trent - 09-06-2012

I just bought a LG Droid VS920. Does anyone have some free app downloads for a Traditionalist, such as Douay Rheims, Church Fathers, Breviary, Gregorian Chant, Latin to English etc? Thanks!

If you like astronomy download skyview. It lets you view the position of the stars and planets in real time.

Check out Laudate, its fairly all-in-one.

iPieta

You can see the the Android version free components here http://www.android.ipieta.com/  Some add on components are 0.99

One of the things I especially appreciate about iPieta is that it has both the 1962 and 1969 Liturgical calendars, with the missal scripture readings for both (Douay-Rheims).

Another app to look into is Olive Tree Bible Reader http://www.olivetree.com/.  Don't be put off, when you download the free reader for Android it will come with the King James, but go to the web site and you can get the Douay-Rheims (and the Latin Vulgate if you want) for free.

I use iChant occasionally to work out difficult parts of Gregorian chant propers for Mass.  It's simple, but terrific.  However, I don't know whether it's available for Droid.

After Googling, I see that it is available for Droid.  It only costs a few dollars.  It allows you to hammer out Gregorian chant notation and to adjust the pitch.  Again, highly recommended for anyone who sings chant or would like to sing it and who cannot yet sight read perfectly.

It's not an app, but go to http://divinumofficium.com/ and click on the "cell phone" link and you've got a breviary for your cellphone.

I downloaded Skyview this evening on your recommendation. It's absolutely amazing.
