Bishop and excommunications - little_flower10 - 06-27-2013

For automatic excommunications that are ordinarily reserved to the Bishop..does it have to be the Bishop of a person's domicile that absolves from it (i was told priests can be given this authority too by the Bishop) or, can it be any Bishop of the diocese where the person is currently residing, like if the person is travelling or staying somewhere else. thanks!

I think it depends on what it is. Consult a priest.
