In the region of Kapandriti near Athens, a wonderful thing happens. Ten years ago, a devout beekeeper named Isidoros Ţiminis, thought to place in one of his hives an icon of the Crucifixion of the Lord. Soon thereafter, when he opened the hive, he was amazed that the bees showed respect and devotion to the icon, having "embroideed" it in wax, yet leaving uncovered the face and body of the Lord. Since then, every spring, he puts into the hives icons of the Savior, the Virgin Mary and the Saints, and the result is always the same.

Wonder if the results would be the same if there was a photo of Joel Osteen.

I think it is disrespectful of that man to do something like that to his icons and he should not be encouraged..

how is it disrespectful ? I'm sure his intention was not to disrespect God...I could see myself doing this, I have a magnetic Icon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help stuck to a machine I operate at work...Helps me to remember God when my mind begins to wander but also to bless the machine and the work.

Oh yes, very often animals give glory to God better than man, and God makes examples of them. This reminds me of the verse in Isaiah:

The ox knows his owner, and the ass his master's crib: but Israel does not know.
