Winning Converts (article from the '40s) - SaintSebastian - 09-23-2014

I came across this recently and found it online.  This link presents it as an excerpt from a more recent book that included it, but the article itself is from the 1940s.  It's more geared to pastors, but it definitely has things we can all do and help our pastor to do.

Ah but the question we ask now is: since being a practicing protestant is good enough to get one to heaven why bother? :) :)

But it was always been the case that the Church acknowledged that those in good faith could be saved. But even then, having all the means and graces of the Church can only aid in their salvation.  Likewise, love of God, who has commanded us to teach all what He has taught us, should give us enough motivation to "bother." So should love of neighbor, which should make us want to ensure our separated brethren share in all the riches of their Father's house, even those who currently have just enough to get by.

For me, even if it was revealed that all men are saved anyway, I would still want to see all men be Catholic as I truly believe it is the best way to live and to have true joy and peace in this life.
