More evidence that many Bishops in Western Europe are wolves in sheep's clothing. I wonder though, if all the churches are closed, how will they raise money for mosques and bless homosexual couples.

When you see things like this it makes you wonder that if these bishops are truly men of good will, how do they not stop to think about what's causing this crisis and how to fix it. Would someone really look at the emptying of churches, seminaries, monasteries, cloisters and say "well, the Vatican II reforms are working just great! Let's keep doing more of what we're doing!" It makes no logical sense. I guess logic is too much to ask.

"It has taken the shortage of priestly and religious vocations to awaken in us an appreciation of a broadly based shared ministry and a realization that it is in the nature of the Church as the Body of Christ to be endowed with many gifts, ministries and offices. What some refer to as a "vocations crisis" is, rather, one of the many fruits of the Second Vatican Council, a sign of God’s deep love for the Church, (emphasis added) and an invitation to a more creative and effective ordering of gifts and energy in the Body of Christ. This is a time of great challenge and opportunity in the Church, not least of all because the gifts of the lay faithful have been flourishing in unprecedented numbers and in unforeseen ways."

From a Pastoral Letter from "Cardinal Roger Mahony and the Priests of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, Holy Thursday, April 20, 2000"

Even with allowing protestants to receive Our Lord in Holy Communion and the blessing of homosexual couples--none of that will increase attendance.  The faith is essentially dead in many places.  They have not taught the truth for so very long.

Exactly, every liberal I've talked to, who's a fallen away Catholic, thinks Francis is the greatest Pope ever. When you ask them if they're returning to church though, they say No, emphatically.

Shame on every single one who proclaimed that Vatican II would be a blessing. Be it Cleric or Layman, shame on them for disparaging the warnings and laments of Catholic traditionalists.

And a double shame for those who accelerated the irrevocable , irretrievable Catholic ambience of millennia by importing the Arabic and African world there.

Another example of Vatican II failing to deliver on its promise. Its almost as if conforming the church to anti-catholic, anti-traditional, new age sentiments and spirits is destructive to the faith.

Really fires up the neurons.
