For those that follow the Fatima stuff closely: Is this good news?

Strasbourg, October 24, 2012 — On October 23, 2012 Father Nicholas Gruner of the Fatima Center in Canada and Catholic attorney and author Christopher A. Ferrara of the United States appeared at the headquarters of the EU in Strasbourg, France to speak in support of a motion for a declaration by the EU Parliament calling upon Pope Benedict XVI to carry out the Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

The motion is being sponsored by two members of the Parliament of the European Union, the Honorable Mario Borghezio and the Honorable Lorenzo Fontana, who invited Father Gruner and Mr. Ferrara to speak in its support at the time of its official introduction.

The motion refers to the threat of "great danger at the present time to world peace and the serenity of all European peoples" and notes that "the Blessed Virgin Mary has promised a long period of prosperity and peace, if and only if, the Holy Father will consecrate Russia in a solemn and public manner, as precisely specified by Her in the Message of Fatima."

Ha! Crazy world we live in. Fr Gruner is a marketing genius. I hope it succeeds!

don't all the bishops in the world have to do the consecration at the same time the pope does?

Revixit, yes they all must in concert Consecrate Russia, but if Pope Benedict XVI orders it and they refuse tt co-operate it's on them and the Consecration is good.

Fr. Gruner has tv station in Rome and broadcasts on Fatima continously. I believe he's getting through.

Fascinating. I can't see the EU actually passing the resolution, mason dominated NWO organization that it is, but who knows. Strange days indeed. God bless Fr Gruner.

Is this what Our Lady said?  She gave this caveat of dissenting bishops in her message?

that's good news, i didn't know that, always wondered if any pope could get all the bishops to do their part.

do you think pope benedict will order it?

On a plane trip before the handlers could stop him he answered a bunch of questions on Fatima, and he said he has no plans now, but in future he may have to consider that. It appears to me it's slowly but surely sinking in that is his only solution.

Frankly I daydreamed that during the SSPX talks Pope Benedict XVI would see the opposition all around him, then suspend all the Bishops in the world until they come to Rome and swear an oath. Then call all the SSPX Bishops and Fr. Gruner to Rome, make Fr. Gruner a Bishop, and all five with Pope Benedict XVI, Consecrate Russia, and wait.

Ooops, I didn't answer the one question. Our Lady did not specify what I said but the Pope has the power to suspend them and if he suspends them they have no power.
