Really, its a guitar, usually held and played like a 'steel guitar'. In its essence, its an acoustic 'steel' guitar.

I guess it's the same question if you go to a country that there are no churches (like in the Middle East), you'd have to make due with prayer in either the Divine Office, Rosary, or other devotions... Streaming the Mass can also work as long as you can access it.

You could pray a portion of the Liturgy of the Hours. You could study the readings of the mass for that day. You could pray the rosary together.
I have an ancestor who lived more than 150 years ago who kept a diary. Almost every Sunday he went to mass. On those Sundays when he was unable to go to mass he would read from his mass book.
