The orthodox body of national churches is in clear schism. It takes a lot of metal gymnastics to deny such an obvious truth of faith.

This horrible schism is in part due to Constantinople's hunger for power since it became the new capital of the empire. First, they aspired to be the second most important see in Christendom, going against tradition that held Alexandria and Antioch as the most important sees in the East due to their clear apostolic origins. Afterwards, with Photius and Cerularius, they consumated the schism by claiming equality with the Holy See and by condemning the faith in the West. Preposterous.
