Deliverance Prayers: For Use by the Laity https://www.amazon.com/dp/154105671X

Also includes the prayers for Auxilium Christianorum

I recently spoke to an FSSP priest about this.

He told me that the superiors said that this book was not be be recommended, nor were any of its prayers to be used by FSSP priests.

Firstly, Fr Ripperger did not seek out the required Imprimatur and Nihil obstat (CIC/83 Canon 826 §3, 839 §2) for the prayer book (which is surprising seeing Fr Ripperger himself said one has to be very careful with devils because they are legalists, and will jump on any even minor infraction of the law to exploit their advantage).

At the vert least he should have provided the assurance that the prayer was approved by the Church, and that the text accords with the original approved prayer.

Secondly, most of the prayers are not in the older Raccolta. While that was not an exhaustive collection of prayers, it certainly is the most common approved prayers.

Thirdly, the interest in the demons by the laity is already troubling, and usually shows a lack of proper ordering in one's spiritual life. If one is really doing all the basics of the spiritual life (daily Rosary, daily morning and evening prayers, some meditation, spiritual reading and scripture, regular confession), and then wants to add in some particular extra prayers and devotions and traditional prayers which are approved and happen to be in Fr Ripperger's book are used, more power to you.

But to presume to get involved in "binding" and "delivering" without having the rest of one's spiritual life immaculately in order is asking for serious trouble from the very demons and vicious spirits that he hopes to bind and from whom he wishes to be delivered. There is a reason that the ritual demands for an exorcism that only a priest who is known chiefly for his holiness is supposed to be charged with performing the exorcism.

Even if there are analogous things that are permitted the laity, it should be also analogously used only by the laity whose house in order.
