Catholic bible commentaries

The Haydock Bible commentary is pretty good.  Cornelius A Lapide's commentaries are good if you want something a bit more detailed, but unfortunately most of his works are not available in english(luckily some of the Paul's epistles are).  St. Thomas Aquinas compiled some of the writings of the fathers as a commentary for the Four Gospels in "Catena Aurea".

For a good intro to Catholic theology you should check out Ludwig Ott's "Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma".  You might be able to find a free PDF of it on archive.org, but the website seems to be a little less liberal with what you can view and download than it used to be.
