I'm telling you, birth control (specifically the pill) is huge for environmentalists. Even the ones who say they are Catholic. They'll try to mask it as "empowerment" or "education" for women.

The spirit of "a certain Martin Luther" is alive and well.

"Here I stand I can do no other" famous words, which seem to be tide together with other famous words "abandon all hope ye who enter here."

Not worried for the Church I am worried about her soul and those that she may lead astray.

What hacks me off about this sort of person (Mrs Gates) is that she shoots down church teaching as being anachronistic, outmoded, etc, but then in the same sentence she calls herself a Catholic and tries to extol the virtues of the Church and its teachings.

Does she not understand that this kind of contradictory behaviour just encourages more dissent within the Church and stops people outside the Church from considering the Faith?

Am I just old fashioned or something, or isn't there need to believe what the Church teaches if you want to call yourself a Catholic?
