wild rice is grown in the great lakes states. it is native to that region. actually, it is not true rice. it is the seed of a marsh grass. but it is highly nutritious. i love it.

At our Sunday parish potluck there was ham, barbequed pulled pork, fried chicken, stew, potatoe-cheese cassarole, panceat (a Filipino noodle dish), summer squash, salad, bread and butter, bostom cream pie, and carrot cake.

At our parish potluck we had ground beef-stuffed green bell peppers, barbecued ham, green beans, okra, bread and butter, brownies, and orange sponge cake.
