In your excitement, is it safe to assume you are breaking your fast this fine day?

The tract was so beautiful at mass today... Gregorian chant...

Ps 111:1-3.
Beátus vir, qui timet Dóminum: in mandátis ejus cupit nimis.
Potens in terra erit semen ejus: generátio rectórum benedicétur.
Glória et divítiæ in domo ejus: et justítia ejus manet in saeculum saeculi.

Happy the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in His commands.
His posterity shall be mighty upon the earth; the upright generation shall be blessed.
Wealth and riches shall be in his house; his generosity shall endure forever.

God made him Master of his household.
And put him in charge of all that we own.

Let Us Pray

All Mighty God, in Your infinite wisdom and love, You chose Joseph to be the husband of Mary, the mother of Your Son; As we enjoy his protection on earth, may we have the help of his prayers in heaven. We ask this through Christ the Lord. Amen.

There is an old prophecy which says that when the tomb of St. Joseph is found, it will be a day of great rejoicing in the Church.

Besides the Blessed Mother and St. John the Baptist, he is the only one ever born who was without Original Sin; he and St. John were sanctified in their mother's wombs.

It's worth noting that St. Joseph appeared with the Child Jesus at Fatima on October 13, 1917.

St. Joseph, Terror of demons, ora pro nobis.

I also believe that St. Joseph was immaculately conceived, or at least did not sin, but I'm no theologian. Are there any links that can be given about this topic?
And links about his tomb discovery as well?

Deo gratias for such a fine foster-father for Our Lord and husband to Our Lady!  May all men everywhere look to St. Joseph as their example in being a husband and father, and even a single man.  The love of God for us knows no bounds when He trusts the care of the Son and the Theotokos to a humble carpenter.

An Ave in thanksgiving for such a wonderful Saint.

May I in some small way live up to the promise of the saint whose name I share by my baptism.  I will try harder, St. Joseph.  I promise.

I'm happy that some of you had a Mass today, but in our six parish OF cluster there was NOT ONE MASS. There is a High Mass in Seattle at our FSSP parish but that is a very long way from where I live.

I think the belief that he committed no personal sins is fine, but the belief that he was immaculately conceived is problematic, since the definition of the dogma affirms that Mary was preserved from original sin by a "singular" grace of God.  If one were to believe that he, and the Baptist, were purified from Original Sin while still in the womb, that's different, and would probably be OK.  Mary alone was preserved from Original Sin; I can think of no bar to believing that others might have been purified while still in the womb.
