No, I'm pretty sure they were different people, though perhaps close friends?

They were both young, about the same age: 18/19. But Mitch was a new convert, and I thought Grumpy was a life long Catholic. I could be wrong about that. I thought Grumpy lived in France and Mitch was in in England. Maybe they were good friends.

I'm confused about the OP too, but Grumpy and I chat frequently off forum. He's a cradle Catholic who fell into atheism and then returned. His normal residence is in France, tho' he and his family holiday in the Duchy of Normandy (not technically part of the UK, but under the British Crown, a fact we have often discussed). He's definitely not djmitch.
