German Chancellor Demands Pope Clarify Holocaust Stance

LaRoza Wrote:This is silly. Why should the Pope be asked to clarify the Church's stance on something that has nothing to do with the faith?
Because Jews and all other men now don't care about the faith nor about true Love of God and neighbor, but only themselves and as God. This is the great evil of humanism.

As I said, why would they care what is binding and what is not?
Quote:Hate is already forbidden in the Church.
Well, actually hatred is commanded by and in the Church. We obligated to hate sin.

I guess European politicians are used to having performing pet religious leaders?   They don't seem to understand the difference between religious matters and non-religious matters - the Pope has been pretty clear about his views all along and there is no way that they can be misconstrued.  This is a pretty blatant power play on her part.

The media loves this. The part of this that I find interesting is the whining from within the Vatican by those who believe they should have a hand in papal decisions.  One wants to send them copies of Who Moved My Cheese?

Perhaps part of the problem is, for European leaders, racism issues are their religion. They can't tell the difference as you say, because from their perspective there is no difference. Multiculturalism, environmentalism, socialism - these are the facets of their religion.

I think Merkel should get on her hands and knees and kiss the Pope's foot.

I'd been away for far too long. I'm certain it will decrease with time, don't worry.

If there's anything good to come of this circus, it's the fact that a general revision of the Shoah might come about. If it's true six million Talmudists did not perish during World War II, then this should be researched more and made public.
