Land of Confusion- Disturbed's version
Duran Duran: Come Undone. The video is an appropriately named sendup of Vatican II and it's aftermath, it's even full of images of feminine men, crossdressers, devastation, drowning imagery, flames, sensuality, materialism etc. It could be video straight out of some of the more notorious seminaries. (watch only if you won't find it tempting. ) Good song though for a pop tune.
The lyrics even fit the situation. "Come Undone" Mine, immaculate dream made breath and skin I've been waiting for you Signed, with a home tattoo, Happy birthday to you was created for you (can't ever keep from falling apart At the seams Can't I believe you're taking my heart To pieces) Oh, it'll take a little time, Might take a little crime To come undone now [PRECHORUS] We'll try to stay blind To the hope and fear outside Hey child, stay wilder than the wind And blow me in to cry [CHORUS] Who do you need, who do you love When you come undone [repeat] [Verse 2] Words, playing me deja vu Like a radio tune I swear I've heard before Chill, is it something real Or the magic I'm feeding off your fingers (Can't ever keep from falling apart At the seams Can I believe you're taking my heart To pieces) Lost, in a snow filled sky, we'll make it alright To come undone now

For those in their late 40's and early 50's, Jigsaw's "Sky High"
Blown Round By The Wind Thrown Down In a Spin I Gave You Love I Thought That We Had Made It To The Top I Gave You All I Had To Give Why Did It Have To Stop You've Blown It All Sky High By Telling Me a Lie Without a Reason Why You've Blown It All Sky High You, You've Blown It All Sky High Our Love Had Wings To Fly We Could Have Touched The Sky You've Blown It All Sky High Up Round I've Flown Then Down Down Like a Stone

Definitely a Brady Bunch song, but I'm not sure which one.
Is it "Sunshine Day?" Can't you dig the sunshine? Love and sun are the same! Can't you hear him callin' your name? or is it "Time to Change"?

I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news, But she just smiled and turned away. I went down to the sacred store Where I'd heard the music years before, But the man there said the music wouldnt play. And in the streets: the children screamed, The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed. But not a word was spoken; The church bells all were broken. And the three men I admire most: The Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost, They caught the last train for the coast The day the music died. |
