Saints: Who do you like and how do you relate?
#31
There's so many out there! Off the top of my head:

Little Flower, my matron, for reasons very dear to me, or
any saint named Thomas, really. Especially Becket, since the play I directed for my senior seminar was about him.

I'd include Cardinal Newman for helping me convert from Anglicanism, but he's not a saint - yet.

St. Ignatius, because my wife and I came together and were confirmed at a Jesuit-run parish (which was surprisingly traditional and high-tone, not at all the Pedro-Arrupe-inspired scene you'd expect) and got married there on his feast day. Also, I respect the Spiritual Exercises.

St. Benedict, because I think the Rule is a beautiful work.

St. Jude, because I'm pretty sure he's helped me with a hopeless-case-type situation or two.

St. Hubert, because he's the patron saint of foxhunting, which I've taken a shine to. For that matter, I think he'd be the one to appeal to for safety in shooting sporting clays, which I enjoy also.

St. Joseph - because as a husband, father, and provider, I need all the help I can get.

St. Margaret of Cortona - for my personal struggles.

St. Michael the Archangel - because he has the coolest prayer in Catholicism.
