Pope Benedict: Why can't we all just get along?

When Jesus died, many, even his disciples believed, that this is losing proposition.

Matt 5:14 You are the light of the world. A city seated on a mountain cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but upon a candlestick, that it may shine to all that are in the house.

For over a millennium the Western world was ruled by the One and Universal Cross, the Church and by the diverse Swords, the kings and princes. The Church dictated the morality and the law, she was the legislator, the worldly power was the executor only.

Things started to be wrong when the media was taken over by the enemies of the Church, and the Church instead of fighting this and holding the media under her control, pulled back to the Churches, and abandoning her rule to be the light of the people: Lumen Gentium.

It does not make difference weather people listen to the pope message or not, he shall have opinion how the world shall be ruled.

There's no danger in charity. The danger is when charity spills over into false ecumenism to such an extent that the lines between the true religion and false religions become unclear and blurred--lest the Jews or the Prots or Muslims become offended (heaven forbid). But do you really think the Holy Father is doing that here?

Yes, if only we could all get along and have no differences...........the world will be as one.

Just Imagine........ It isn't hard to do.

That sounds so familiar........ :sneaky:

"
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

I'm not saying that's exactly what Benedict is saying...........but.

You know that's how them clowns in the media try to spin it.

"See, even the Pope agrees that we should all just get along, things would be honky-dory..........if we could just Imagine" ::)
